Location: Ashington
Salary Scale: £125 - £155 per day
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education’s Newcastle branch is recruiting an English Teacher to work at a client school in Ashington. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, passionate educator who inspires and engages young minds in English literature and language. The successful English Teacher will join a committed and enthusiastic team dedicated to providing a high-quality education and fostering a love for learning.

Job Summary: As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, ensuring all students are engaged and progressing.

Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons.
  • Assessing and tracking student progress in line with school policies.
  • Creating a positive learning environment that promotes student welfare.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is delivered effectively.
  • Attending staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Required Qualifications for an English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teaching Status or equivalent.
  • Experienced in teaching English.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
