Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Grays

Contract Type: Full-time/ Long term

Salary Scale: £85-£130 per day

Start Date: Immediately

 

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?

A welcoming school in the Gray’s area is looking  for a dedicated and compassionate SEN learning support assistant to join their  team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on a student's education and well-being by offering personalized support in the classroom.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-            Provide 1:1 and group support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in both classroom and extracurricular settings.

-            Inspire the students to reach their full potential.

-            Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of students.

-            Support students with a variety of tasks including, reading, writing, and social skills development.

-            Work as a team with class teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment for everyone.

-             Monitor the students progress and report on individual achievements.

-            Provide emotional and behavioural support to ensure a positive and safe learning experience.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

-            Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a learning support role.

-            A passion for supporting children with special educational needs and helping them to reach their full potential.

-            Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

-            Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

-            Relevant experience working with children that have special educational needs.

-            GCSE's grade C (pass) or above
