Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Scunthorpe
Pay Rate: £88.94 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Easter 2025 start

GSL Education are inviting applications for a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a nurturing and engaging environment.
About the Role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to provide essential support in the classroom, helping to create a positive learning experience for pupils. You will assist with lesson delivery, engage with small groups and individuals, and help to maintain a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support across different primary year groups.
- Assist with lesson delivery, ensuring all students remain engaged and motivated.
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to provide additional academic support.
- Help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with behaviour management strategies when needed.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to meet student needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (preferred).
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children, with a nurturing and patient approach.
- A strong understanding of child development and primary education.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, supporting the overall success of the class.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
