Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £84 – £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join one of their prominent client schools specialising in Behaviour Management across Hull, starting immediately. Ideally, we are looking for keen and passionate individuals with a genuine interest in supporting young people who face academic, behavioural, social, and emotional challenges in a school environment, helping them overcome barriers to learning.

As a successful Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students displaying behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, providing tailored support both 1:1 and in small group settings. You will collaborate with class teachers to implement behaviour management strategies and help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage with their learning and reach their full potential.
  • Apply behaviour management techniques and utilise positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of targeted intervention sessions.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, acting as a positive role model.
  • Work alongside teachers and support staff to create a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere.

Favoured Attributes:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with individuals with additional needs, including behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
