About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be at the heart of students' educational journeys, providing essential support to help them thrive. You'll work hand-in-hand with teachers to deliver personalised one-on-one and dynamic group assistance, enhancing students' grasp of various subjects and practical skills. Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Collaborate with Teachers: Create tailored learning plans that address the specific needs of each student. Regularly review and adjust these plans to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
- Provide Individual and Group Support: Offer interventions to help students improve their knowledge and skills. Use evidence-based strategies to support children in developing their understanding of various concepts and practical applications.
- Teach Effective Study Techniques: Help students understand and engage with their studies. Encourage positive interactions and model appropriate behavior.
- Implement Learning Strategies: Work alongside classroom teachers to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support teachers in addressing learning challenges and fostering a culture of respect and cooperation.
- Maintain Detailed Records: Keep track of students' progress and any interventions used. Provide regular updates to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties to ensure a coordinated approach to each student’s development.
- Collaborate with Professionals: Ensure that students receive comprehensive support by working with counselors, social workers, and other professionals to address the broader needs of children and their families.
Requirements for a Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A genuine passion for supporting students in their educational journey.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
