Secondary Supply TeacherBasingstoke, Hampshire

GSL Education are looking for a reliable and adaptable full-time Secondary Supply Teacher to work across schools in Basingstoke. With a pay rate of £120 to £140 per day, this role starts ASAP or from Easter 2025 and offers the freedom to choose your working days. No planning is required—just deliver engaging lessons, complete light marking, and leave work at the door. Whether you prefer part-time or up to 5 days a week, this role gives you full control over your schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support students in their learning, ensuring they remain on-task and motivated.
  • Provide light marking and feedback in line with school policies.
  • Follow school policies on behaviour management and safeguarding.
  • Adapt to different classroom settings and teaching styles as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
