MFL TeacherFleet, Hampshire

Are you an inspiring linguist with a passion for teaching?

GSL Education needs a passionate and motivated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Fleet. This exciting maternity cover role starts in September 2025 and will be fixed for the academic year. Salary ranges from £30k to £50k per year, with potential for a permanent contract after a successful probation period.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging MFL lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for languages and cultural awareness.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that fosters student confidence and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in school events, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities where required.
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in one or more of the following languages: French, Spanish, or German.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and contributing to the school community.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
