Special Educational Needs and Disability Graduate
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you a graduate with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
GSL Education are looking for a motivated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disability Graduate to join an outstanding SEN school in Lincoln. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education while making a real difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
Responsibilities of a Special Educational Needs and Disability Graduate:
- Offer one-to-one and group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
- Help implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals.
- Build positive relationships with students, fostering their confidence and independence.
- Work collaboratively with the wider SEN team to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements of a Special Educational Needs and Disability Graduate:
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, psychology, social work) is preferred.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND is necessary.
- A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learners.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles.
