Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Ashington
Salary: £84 - £108 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Daily Supply | Long-Term Placements Available

About the Role:
As a Secondary TA, you’ll work side-by-side with teachers, supporting lessons across subjects, assisting with planning, and helping students succeed both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students

Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

Support students with varying learning needs, including SEN

✨ Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Monitor student progress and offer feedback to staff and parents

Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies
✅ What We’re Looking For:

Experience with secondary-age students (preferred)

Understanding of the secondary curriculum

️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude

A team player who builds rapport with pupils and staff
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:

Provide a full CV with two references from the past two years

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
