Secondary Teaching Assistant – Worksop
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £85 – £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about education and keen to support young people in achieving their full potential? GSL Education is looking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to positively impact students’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to keep students engaged and progressing.

  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored and interactive lessons.

  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or additional learning requirements.

  • Help maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Encourage student independence, participation, and confidence.

  • Supervise students during break times, lunch, and school activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (in school, tutoring, youth work, or similar settings).

  • Knowledge of SEN, Autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
