Cover Supervisor (KS3 – KS4) – Sheffield
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £94 – £115 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and support students to remain engaged and on task. This is an ideal role for those considering a future in teaching or seeking school-based experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise full classes during teacher absences, maintaining focus and engagement.

Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects.

Uphold classroom behaviour policies in line with school expectations.

Support student learning and offer guidance when required.

Record and report on student progress to the relevant teaching staff.

Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar school-based role is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and engaging students.

A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach.

Excellent time-management and organisational skills.

A genuine interest in education and the progress of young people.
