Are you a dedicated Food Technology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire students in the culinary arts? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join secondary schools in Colchester immediately. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to teach practical and theoretical food technology, helping students develop essential life skills and a passion for cooking.
The Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Teach students about nutrition, food science, and healthy eating habits.
- Deliver practical cooking sessions, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Encourage creativity and innovation in food preparation and presentation.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and food-related events.
- Encourage students to reach their full potential
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
- A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Passion for inspiring students and making food education enjoyable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
