Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Southampton
Daily Rate: £82.10 to £104.16

Start Date: September 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and resource development.
  • Provide tailored support to students to help them grasp challenging content.
  • Foster a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
  • Help implement creative teaching techniques and learning interventions.
  • Play a key role in nurturing students’ confidence, well-being, and motivation.
  • Develop your skills and classroom knowledge, perfect for those aspiring to a teaching career.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject area.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Enthusiastic, compassionate, and adaptable nature.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through GSL Education).
  • A verifiable and checkable work history.
  • Team player with strong communication and initiative.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Additional qualifications in education or psychology.

To work with GSL Education as a  Graduate TA, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
