Part-Time MFL Teacher – Basingstoke, Hampshire

Are you a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in the Modern Foreign Languages department?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time MFL Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Basingstoke starting in September 2025. This exciting opportunity offers a pay rate between £30,000 to £50,000 per annum (pro-rated for part-time hours).

This role provides a seamless transition, with the opportunity to tour the school before your interview, giving you a chance to get to know your future teaching environment. The school is eager to welcome both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and seasoned professionals, creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all.

Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and interactive MFL lessons across different key stages.
  • Encouraging students to develop fluency and confidence in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
  • Differentiating lessons to support students with SEN and EAL needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share innovative teaching methods.
  • Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, language clubs, and cultural events.

Requirements of the MFL Teacher:

  • Must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced educators.
  • Proven experience teaching MFL at the secondary level, with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • The ability to inspire and challenge students through a creative and forward-thinking approach.
  • A strong passion for languages and a commitment to delivering engaging lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
