Full-Time PSHE Teacher – Southampton, Hampshire

GSL Education are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) Teacher at a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Southampton. This role is due to start in September 2025 with a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum.

This dynamic and inclusive school invites applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced professionals. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to tour the school, gaining insight into its culture before proceeding to the formal interview stage. Interviews are scheduled for the coming weeks.

Responsibilities of the PSHE Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate PSHE lessons that cover key topics such as emotional wellbeing, relationships, safety, and citizenship.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and heard.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams to ensure PSHE is integrated across the wider school ethos.
  • Adapt content to meet the diverse needs of learners and ensure lessons are both impactful and accessible.
  • Support students in developing critical life skills, empathy, and resilience.

Requirements of the PSHE Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong understanding of the PSHE curriculum and current safeguarding principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and passionate about personal and social education.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are equally welcome to apply.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
