Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Spilsby
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After Easter 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

You will be responsible for planning and delivering dynamic lessons, with a focus on encouraging analytical thinking, historical enquiry, and a love for the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to develop curiosity, critical thinking and a deeper understanding of historical events and contexts.
  • Assess student work regularly, providing feedback to support individual progress.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes high standards.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school development initiatives.

Requirements of History Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in History or a related subject.
  • Sound subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for teaching history.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and student development.
  • A full CV with a 10-year history (with gaps explained).
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
