Job Title: Teacher of Science
Location: Havant, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start time: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

This full-time, permanent role is perfect for those committed to raising achievement through stimulating and meaningful scientific learning.

About the Role:

As a Teacher of Science, you will be entrusted with delivering engaging, inclusive and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 depending on expertise. You will play a pivotal role in promoting scientific literacy and practical investigation, equipping pupils with both academic success and transferable life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons by the national curriculum for Science.
  • Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to specialise at KS5.
  • Inspire a love of learning by incorporating real-world examples and experimental learning.
  • Promote classroom dialogue, exploration and resilience among learners.
  • Track and analyse pupil progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
  • Engage in school-wide enrichment programmes and contribute to the wider school ethos.

Job Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related subject).
  • Early Career Teachers and Overseas-Trained Teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Experienced Teaching Assistants with a strong science background will also be considered.
  • Recent experience teaching Science in a UK secondary setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and an ability to differentiate instruction to suit mixed abilities.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
