Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start time: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role:
This is an ideal opportunity for a driven and knowledgeable Science educator—whether newly qualified or experienced—to make a real difference within a supportive school environment. The role is suitable for teachers from all science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), and there is flexibility based on strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Ensure all pupils, including those with additional needs, are supported and challenged.
- Utilise varied assessment strategies to monitor student progress and attainment.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department and across the wider school.
- Contribute to enrichment and intervention activities, helping raise aspirations.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; ECTs and overseas-qualified teachers are welcome
- Strong subject knowledge in Science, with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
- Experience in or readiness to teach at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience desirable but not essential
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting diverse learners
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with students and staff
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Experienced Teaching Assistants with a Science background looking to transition into teaching will also be considered
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
