Flexible Supply Teacher
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Salary: £93 - £140 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025 start
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (Part-time available for the right candidate)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and flexible Supply Teachers to support a mainstream secondary school in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
About the Role:
As a Flexible Supply Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to work in different year groups, subjects, and schools, gaining a breadth of experience while maintaining a great work-life balance. You’ll be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom order, and ensuring students stay on task and engaged. You’ll step into classrooms with confidence, bringing energy, creativity, and structure to each day.
Supply Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to the school’s regular staff on student participation and behaviour.
- Quickly build rapport with students and staff.
- Follow lesson plans and adapt to the needs of individual learners.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Support the learning of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
- Be a reliable and professional presence within school settings.
- Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all students under your care.
Skills & Qualification for a Flexible Supply Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECTs, or significant classroom experience.
- Experience as a Flexible Supply Teacher in secondary schools.
- SEN experience is an added bonus.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
