Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediate/September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent (Part-time considered for the right candidate)
Are you a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in a primary school setting?
GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Bournemouth. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning and develop both academically and personally.
Your Role Will Involve:
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering personalised learning plans.
- Supporting children’s emotional, social, and behavioural development.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Helping with classroom management and supporting daily routines.
- Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support each pupil's progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous SEN experience is essential – ideally in a primary setting.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
- A passion for helping young learners overcome barriers to learning.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education).
