Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time/Permanent

As a Primary Teacher, you will inspire young learners, encouraging them to explore new ideas, develop their skills, and build the confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond. You’ll work closely with a supportive team of staff, creating engaging lessons and ensuring each child feels valued and understood. Your enthusiasm and dedication will play a vital role in shaping their educational journey and helping them achieve their best.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage growth.
- Supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students through tailored teaching methods.
- Collaborating with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Maintaining effective classroom management to ensure a focused and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Organising and participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and trips to enrich students' learning experiences.
- Ensuring a safe, supportive, and well-organised classroom that promotes students' well-being.
Candidate Expectations:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT): This is essential for the role.
- Experience in a Primary School Setting: Proven teaching experience in mainstream primary classrooms.
- SEN Experience (Bonus): Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
- Overseas-Trained Teachers Welcome: Applications from qualified overseas teachers are encouraged.
- Passion for Working with Young Children: A genuine commitment to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Creative and Adaptable Teaching: Skilled in planning engaging lessons and adjusting teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
- Curriculum Knowledge: A sound understanding of the national curriculum and current primary education standards.
- Updated CV: Must include the last ten years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
- Enhanced DBS: Must be registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
