Salary: £85 – £100 per day

Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to ensure students remain engaged and on task.

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and tailored lessons.

Support students with SEN, behavioural needs, or additional learning challenges.

Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.

Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities.
Requirements for a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with secondary-aged students (in schools, tutoring, or youth work).

An understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, adaptable, and proactive attitude.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
