Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Bovington
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 / Immediate
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Special Education Needs Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school in Bovington. About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Your lessons will be tailored to the specific needs of students, allowing them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will collaborate closely with other staff members to ensure that each student’s needs are met effectively and that they are given the best opportunities to succeed.
Your Role Involves:
- Design and deliver engaging, individualised lessons for students with SEN.
- Modify teaching approaches to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Offer emotional and behavioural guidance within a supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals.
- Keep parents and carers informed regularly on student progress and developments.
- Maintain detailed records of student achievements and contribute to review meetings.
Candidate Specifications:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working with students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A deep commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
- A comprehensive CV covering the past 10 years, with any employment gaps explained.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or the willingness to apply for a new one.
