Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Winton
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084(MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 / Immediate
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and inspiring Special Education Needs Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Winton. This is a great opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them learn, grow, and reach their full potential. In this role, you will deliver personalised and engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of your students. You will create a calm and supportive learning space, promote positive behaviour, and help students develop confidence both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach creative, tailored lessons for students with SEN.
- Adapt teaching methods to support different learning styles and needs.
- Provide emotional and behavioural support in a nurturing environment.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student progress.
- Maintain up-to-date records and contribute to progress reviews.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with SEN such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting all learners.
- A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
