Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Wareham
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

GSL Education are looking for a patient and supportive 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Wareham to work closely with students who need that extra bit of help. You’ll be there to guide them through their lessons, offering the individual support they need to feel confident and reach their full potential.
In this role, you will work closely with one student, giving them the help they need with learning and building their confidence. This is a great chance to support a child’s progress and make a positive impact in a safe and welcoming classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Provide focused, one-on-one support to students, ensuring they receive the attention they need to succeed.
- Assist in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to the individual student's learning style.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere where the student feels valued and supported.
- Track student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to boost their confidence and motivation.
- Support the student during break times and extracurricular activities, promoting social skills and interactions.
- Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment conducive to personal and academic growth.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- SEN experience is required.
- Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with no unexplained gaps).
