Job Title: Music Teacher
Location: Hackney
Salary: £185 - £265 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long Term

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging, inclusive, and creative lessons.
  • Foster a love for music through practical and theoretical teaching.
  • Prepare students for performances, exams, and school events.
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular musical activities and clubs.
  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider arts curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A proactive, organised, and student-centred approach.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
