Job Title: Science Teacher – SEMH
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £100 - £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

If so, GSL Education are on the lookout for a passionate and adaptable Science Teacher to join a supportive SEMH provision in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach and mentor students who benefit from a more personalised and therapeutic approach to learning.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons to students across KS3 and KS4 with SEMH needs.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse learning and emotional needs of pupils.
- Support students’ personal development alongside academic progress.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to provide holistic support.
- Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Be flexible and able to travel to off-site provision if needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience in Science.
- Experience working with SEMH or in an alternative provision is highly desirable.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Resilience, empathy, and a passion for inclusive education.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
