Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Swanwick
Salary Range: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with a range of additional learning needs, both inside and outside the classroom. Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals, you will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, providing the support they need to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with Autism (ASC), Speech and Language difficulties, and ADHD.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Assist teachers with lesson adaptation to support differentiated learning.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and SEN professionals.
- Help students develop confidence, social skills, and academic abilities.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Knowledge of various SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Speech and Language difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
