Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Locks Heath
Salary Range: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the role:
This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping children with a range of special educational needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo to ensure pupils receive the tailored support they need to succeed within a mainstream or specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support to pupils with varying SEND needs including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and SEMH.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised learning plans.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents/carers.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement through appropriate interventions.
- Help with personal care tasks where necessary, ensuring pupils’ dignity and well-being.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Knowledge of various SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Speech and Language difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
