Job Title: QTS Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start Date: Immediate or After Summer 2025 start
Contract: Full-time, permanent

GSL Education proudly invites applications for the role of QTS Teacher in a well-established mainstream primary school in Southampton, Hampshire. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate or after-summer start, offering an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to develop their careers within a nurturing and progressive educational setting.

Role Overview:

As a QTS Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching to pupils across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. You will be expected to plan engaging lessons, foster a positive classroom environment, and contribute to the wider school community. The role suits individuals who are passionate about education, committed to pupil progress, and keen to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independent learning.
  • Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members.
  • Establish strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to whole-school events, policies, and continuous improvement.

Who Should Apply?

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply.
  • Prior teaching experience in a primary school setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills and high expectations of pupil behaviour.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • SEN experience or an understanding of inclusive teaching strategies is considered an advantage.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
