Salary: £93 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role:
As a Cover Teacher, you will step into the classroom and bring lessons to life when the regular teacher is absent. You’ll be the guiding presence, ensuring learning continues smoothly and maintaining a positive, encouraging environment. Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or someone eager to explore flexible teaching, this role is a fulfilling opportunity to grow and inspire.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Bring pre-set lesson plans to life across a range of subjects in the primary curriculum.
- Manage Classroom Behaviour: Foster a calm, respectful, and productive learning space.
- Support Student Learning: Encourage pupils to stay focused and help them achieve their best.
- Provide Constructive Feedback: Mark work where required and offer useful feedback.
- Communicate Effectively: Report any classroom concerns to school staff and follow safeguarding protocols.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong Classroom Management Skills, especially with younger pupils.
- Excellent Communication: Clear and confident interaction with staff and students.
- Adaptability: Ability to work across different year groups and subjects in a primary setting.
- Previous work with SEN pupils is a plus.
- Commitment to Safeguarding and promoting student welfare at all times.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
- Up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any employment gaps.
