Job Title: Food Technology Teacher
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you ready to inspire the next generation of chefs, nutritionists, and food scientists? A vibrant and inclusive secondary mainstream school in Basingstoke is looking for a creative and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver exciting Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Teach practical cooking skills alongside nutritional education and food safety principles.
- Create a safe, well-organised learning environment where students can thrive.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and support.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive, engaging school culture.
Requirements for the Food Technology Role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; ECTs and overseas-trained teachers encouraged to apply.
- Passion for food, nutrition, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting or teaching in a secondary setting (experienced TAs also considered).
- A commitment to inspiring students and promoting a love for learning.
- A full and update CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
