Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £12.82 per hour

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly and supportive primary mainstream school in Bournemouth. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist in Delivering Lessons: Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Provide One-to-One or Small Group Support: Help pupils who need extra support to understand and access their learning.
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all pupils.
  •  Support Student Development: Assist in the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils, including those with additional needs.
  •  Help with Classroom Management: Support the teacher in maintaining a well-managed and productive classroom.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Learning Support Assistant is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN is highly valued.
  • Experience in or interest in supporting primary-aged children in a mainstream school setting.
  •  University students are strongly encouraged to apply, especially those studying education, psychology, or related fields.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their potential.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of pupils.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with any gaps explained).
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
