Full – Time SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) – Portsmouth, Hampshire

This Full-Time rewarding role begins immediately and offers a beautifully competitive salary of £17,500 to £19,000 per year, depending on your experience, with clear pathways to progress through the pay grades as your skills and impact grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Join the school’s dedicated resource base, supporting students with EHCPs for Autism, Learning Difficulties, and Speech & Language needs.
  • Provide tailored one-to-one and group support to help students access the curriculum and thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SEN specialists to implement individual education plans and adapt learning materials.
  • Promote student independence, confidence, and emotional well-being through consistent, patient support.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of engaging, inclusive activities that meet diverse learning needs.

Requirements:

  • Candidates from the care sector with transferable skills in supporting children with SEN or physical disabilities are warmly encouraged to apply.
