Full – Time Secondary Behaviour Support – Havant, Hampshire

If so, GSL Education are on the lookout for a compassionate Behaviour Support to join a secondary school in Havant. This full-time, term-time-only role (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm) offers a rewarding opportunity with a competitive pay between £21,500 – £24,500 per annum to support students in managing behaviour and achieving personal and academic growth. The successful candidate will begin immediately, with the potential to make a lasting impact on young lives.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with behavioural needs, helping them engage positively with their learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and other professionals to implement tailored support strategies.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students.
- Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and daily behaviour monitoring.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to promote emotional resilience and social development.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a similar role or transferable skills from youth work, social work, or pastoral care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and build trusting relationships with students.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with diverse needs.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
