GSL Education is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Farnborough. This part-time position, starting in September 2025 and extending through July 2026, offers the potential for a permanent role upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Position: Part-Time Teacher of Art

Salary: ECT/MPR/UPR
Contract Type: Fixed Term to July 2025, with potential for permanency
About the Role: The successful candidate will become part of a vibrant Art Department known for its consistent achievement of excellent outcomes. The department offers a diverse curriculum, including Fine Art, 3D Art, Textile Art, Graphic Communication, and Photography. With four well-equipped specialist art rooms, including a kiln room, and the support of a part-time Art Technician, the department provides an inspiring environment for both teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full artistic potential.
- Collaborate with the Art Department to develop and share best practices.
- Contribute to the organisation of extracurricular activities and educational trips, such as visits to the Natural History Museum and Portsmouth Historic Dockyards.
Person Specification:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or equivalent experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in Fine Art and Textiles.
- A commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
