GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Dibden Perlieu. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs who can provide both emotional and academic assistance to help them reach their full potential. Your role will involve offering personalised support in various subjects, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and guiding students towards achieving their personal and academic goals.
Your thoughtful support will help foster confidence, independence, and a love for learning in students, empowering them to excel in their educational journey.
To excel in SEN Teaching Assistants role, it would be beneficial if you:
- Have prior experience in a school setting.
- Have experience working with children or adults with learning difficulties such as ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.
- Possess a solid understanding of Special Educational Needs or be willing to learn.
- Can demonstrate a clear understanding of the Teaching Assistant's role in a special need’s environment.
- Are capable of engaging students in their learning and supporting their social, emotional, and personal development.
- Develop an engaging learning environment that inspires all students to reach their full potential.
- Advocate for and support the growth and development of each student in your care.
The ideal candidate for SEN Teaching Assistants role should be:
- Caring and enthusiastic.
- Resilient and optimistic.
- Confident in managing challenging behaviour.
- Show a strong commitment to safeguarding.
To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
