Job Title: SEND Graduate
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Starting after Easter 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a SEND Graduate to join a dedicated and supportive school in Lincoln. About the Role:

As a SEND Graduate, you will work closely with students with a variety of special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve providing academic support, emotional guidance, and behaviour interventions, helping students achieve their potential in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing academic support to students with SEND, assisting them in lessons and helping them meet their individual learning goals.
  • Supporting students with SEMH needs by encouraging positive behaviour and providing tailored interventions.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with students, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and engaged.
  • Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and ensuring students' specific needs are met.
  • Supporting students in their personal and social development, encouraging their confidence and independence.
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to provide the best outcomes for students.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, or a related field).
  • Experience or a strong understanding of SEN and SEMH needs.
  • A genuine passion for working with students who have additional educational needs.
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Recent graduates with an interest in a career in SEND education are encouraged to apply.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
