Full-Time Geography Teacher, Southampton – Hampshire
Inspire the Next Generation of Geographers!
A dynamic secondary school in Southampton is seeking a passionate Full-Time Geography Teacher to join their team from Easter 2025 or September 2025. This exciting opportunity offers a salary between £30,000 and £50,000 per year, depending on experience, with the possibility of a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5).
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work to ensure all learners make excellent progress.
- Create a positive learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for Geography.
- Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school team.
- Support students of all abilities, adapting resources and teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome.
- A strong subject knowledge in Geography and up-to-date curriculum understanding.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
