Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start Date: Easter 2025 or September 2025 start
Contract: Full-time, permanent (part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

Role Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about providing engaging, high-quality education to primary-aged pupils. You will take full responsibility for a class, planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that supports all learners to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative and stimulating lessons that engage and inspire pupils across the primary age range.
  • Maintain high expectations for both behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Differentiate learning to cater to the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND or EAL.
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Assess pupils’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure every child flourishes.

Who Should Apply?

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS)
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
  • Overseas-trained teachers with UK-recognised qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Class Teacher (or suitable placements for ECTs) within a mainstream primary school.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies for primary education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate children, tailoring lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
