We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join our secondary schools in Chelmsford. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping students manage their behaviour, develop emotional resilience, and thrive in a supportive educational setting.
What Will You Be Doing as a Behaviour Support Worker?
✅ Providing 1:1 and Small Group Support – Work closely with students who need extra guidance to manage their behaviour and emotions.
✅ Encouraging Positive Behaviour – Implement tailored strategies to help students develop self-regulation skills and build confidence.
✅ Collaborating with Staff – Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure students receive the right support.
✅ Acting as a Role Model – Inspire students with your patience, understanding, and encouragement.
✅ Creating a Safe and Supportive Environment – Help foster a school culture that prioritises well-being, inclusion, and student success.
Who Are We Looking For?
✔️ Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, or in a similar role.
✔️ Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
✔️ A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with students facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
✔️ Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and students.
✔️ A genuine passion for helping young people overcome obstacles and achieve their best.
