Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Hook
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are seeking a reliable and helpful SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in Hook. You will provide vital support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to learn and succeed.
About the Role: You will work closely with teachers to give extra help to students who need it. This includes working one-on-one or in small groups, helping with lessons, and making sure all students can join in class activities.
What You Will Do:
- Give extra learning support to students with SEN.
- Help teachers change lessons for individual student needs.
- Help students with their feelings and getting along with others.
- Make a friendly and welcoming classroom.
- Help keep the classroom organised and encourage good behaviour.
- Write down and share how students are doing with teachers.
What’s Needed for This Role
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially with SEN, in a school.
- A strong desire to help students learn and do well.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to change how you help, depending on what the student needs.
- A CV covering the last ten years (with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
