As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students with SEN thrive in the classroom. Your support will help them feel confident, included, and capable of reaching their potential. Whether offering one-on-one support, working with small groups, or helping students engage with the curriculum, your role will be essential in ensuring a positive learning environment for all.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist students with their academic work, helping them stay on track and engaged.
  • Encourage emotional and social development to help build students’ confidence and independence.
  • Help create an inclusive and welcoming classroom where every student feels valued.
  • Assist in classroom management and lesson preparation to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to tailor support to individual student needs.
  • Promote a safe, calm, and motivating environment for all students.

What You Need:

  • Experience supporting students with SEN.
  • A caring and patient approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and students.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
  • A current, up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps).
  • An enhanced DBS check registered on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one.
