Job Title: Complex needs Support Worker
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £88.84 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After Easter 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Complex Needs Support Worker to join a supportive school team in Scunthorpe. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and who are passionate about helping students overcome challenges and succeed in their education.

Your Role:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with complex needs.
  • Assist students with their academic work, ensuring they stay engaged and motivated.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students' emotional and social development, helping them build confidence and independence.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure the needs of each student are met.

What You Need:

  • Must have experience working with students with SEMH or complex needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and professionally.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting students' well-being.
