Salary: £88.84 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students aged 11-16 in a school in Scunthorpe. This role is perfect for someone who has experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised support, ensuring that students feel safe, valued, and encouraged in their learning. Your role will be vital in helping them develop essential skills, build confidence, and overcome challenges in both their education and personal growth.

Your Role:

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom and during school activities.
  • Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Assist students with their schoolwork, helping them stay engaged and motivated.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support tailored to individual needs.
  • Encourage emotional and social development, helping students build confidence and independence.

What You Need:

  • Experience working with students with SEN in a school or similar setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviour calmly and professionally.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
  • An up-to-date CV (covering the past ten years, excluding any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
