Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role:

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of a nurturing environment, providing emotional, social, and practical support to students. Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams, you’ll help foster independence, encourage positive relationships, and ensure students feel safe and supported in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and practical support, ensuring students’ well-being.

  • Encourage independence and essential life skills.

  • Assist with educational activities, including homework and revision.

  • Maintain a safe and structured environment in line with safeguarding policies.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, offering guidance and encouragement.

  • Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.

  • Keep accurate records of student progress and any incidents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in residential support, education, or care settings.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, NVQ in Health & Social Care).

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

  • Experience working with young people with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviours.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • A patient, flexible, and resilient approach to managing challenges.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
