Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £95 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a fantastic secondary school in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, ensuring they stay engaged and productive while the teacher is absent. If you have a passion for supporting students and creating a positive learning environment, we’d love to hear from you!
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll help maintain a smooth flow of lessons, following pre-set plans and making sure students stay focused. You’ll play an important part in keeping the classroom organised and making sure students complete their work on time.
Your Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Lead the Class: Supervise lessons in the teacher's absence and ensure students stay engaged.
- Follow Lesson Plans: Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects.
- Encourage Student Engagement: Keep students motivated and focused throughout the day.
- Maintain a Positive Environment: Ensure a respectful and organised classroom.
- Report Back: Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
- Assist with School Activities: Support with other duties such as break-time supervision when needed.
What We’re Looking for:
- Confident in managing classrooms and maintaining focus.
- Passionate about helping students succeed.
- A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience with young people is helpful but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications are a plus but not required.
- Able to follow lesson plans and adjust to different subjects.
- An updated CV and enhanced DBS registered on update service (or willing to apply for one).
