Cover Supervisor
Location: Dover, Kent
Salary: £85 - £95 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time

Are you a recent graduate seeking a new start in education? GSL Education Kent are  seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Dover on a temporary to permanent basis, starting immediately. This full-time role provides the chance to work in a supportive educational environment, helping to maintain high standards of learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of teachers, ensuring a structured learning environment.

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain student engagement.

  • Uphold the school’s behaviour policies and create a positive classroom atmosphere.

  • Support students in their learning, clarifying instructions and responding to queries.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student participation and conduct.

  • Contribute to the school’s inclusive and supportive ethos.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role is desirable.

  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive, adaptable, and professional approach to working in a school setting.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
