GSL Education is offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary) at a well-respected sixth-form college in Newcastle. This is the perfect role for graduates eager to gain hands-on classroom experience and support secondary students on their academic journey.
Your Role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
Assist with lesson planning and delivery across various subjects.
Provide one-to-one or small group support tailored to students' individual learning needs.
Help students prepare for exams, coursework, and future pathways like university or employment.
Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Encourage independence and help students build confidence in their abilities.
What We’re Looking For in a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
A university degree in any subject.
A passion for working in education and supporting students.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards helping students succeed.
An updated CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
