SEN Teacher – Nuneaton

Location: Nuneaton
Daily Rate: £155 – £200
Employment: Long-term to permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education is seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Nuneaton, supporting Lower KS2 children with complex needs. This is a full-time role with PPA cover provided, and planning and marking are essential.

The school caters to children with:
✅ Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
✅ Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
✅ Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
✅ Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
✅ Challenging Behaviour

About the Role:

  • Teaching a small class (8–11 pupils) with tailored learning plans.
  • Planning, designing, and delivering an innovative and engaging curriculum.
  • Providing PPA cover and supporting other staff where needed.
  • Working closely with colleagues to promote students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Tracking progress and supporting students with complex behavioural needs.
  • Ensuring students access the National Curriculum, focusing on English, Maths, and Science.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, including mental health and behavioural challenges.
  • Passion for alternative education methodologies and a commitment to holistic student development.
  • Strong knowledge of Science teaching is desirable.
  • A proven track record of raising attainment and supporting challenging behaviour.
